Job summary

Care New England is seeking a Revenue Integrity Charge Capture Specialist to ensure complete, accurate, and timely hospital and professional charge capture across the health system. You will monitor Epic Revenue Guardian reports, reconcile charges with clinical documentation, and collaborate with operational, clinical, and coding teams to ensure compliance with federal, state, and payer guidelines.

The Analyst supports data extraction and reporting, identifies trends, and assists with audits.

Qualifications

• High level knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 coding systems and their application to charge capture and reimbursement.
• Comprehensive understanding of healthcare revenue cycle operations, especially front-end processes and professional/facility charge capture.
• Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer billing rules.

Responsibilities

• Review daily Epic Revenue Guardian reports and charge queues to identify and correct missing, incomplete, or incorrect charges.
• Validate charge capture processes and escalate systemic issues when needed.
• Reconcile clinical documentation against charge activity to ensure services are captured.
• Collaborate with clinical departments to clarify documentation discrepancies impacting charging.
• Maintain knowledge of payer guidelines and CDM workflows.
