Job summary

Valleywise Health in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Revenue Cycle Trainer to develop, deliver, and maintain training programs across patient access, billing, claims, denials, and reimbursement workflows.

The role serves as a senior individual contributor and subject matter expert, onboarding staff, providing workflow education, system training, and change-management support for revenue cycle technology platforms including Epic.

Qualifications

  • Requires bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Health Information Management, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field.
  • Equivalent combination of education and directly related revenue cycle, healthcare operations, or training experience may be considered.
  • Requires three years of revenue cycle experience.
  • Experience developing, delivering, or maintaining training materials for adult learners.
  • Experience using LMS tools and Microsoft Office to support training delivery.
  • Experience supporting Epic or comparable revenue cycle workflows.
  • Experience with instructional design, e-learning tools, virtual training delivery, quality review, process improvement, or change-management support.
  • Epic certification or credential preferred; HFMA CRCR, AAHAM certification, or ATD certification.

Responsibilities

  • Supports patient access, billing, claims, denials, reimbursement workflows, and related platforms.
  • Leverages LMS and MS Office to document training and follow-up.
  • Assists with Epic or similar revenue cycle workflows.

Job description

The Revenue Cycle Trainer develops, delivers, and maintains training programs that strengthen competency and consistency across revenue cycle operations. This role serves as a senior individual contributor and subject matter resource for onboarding, workflow education, system training, competency support, and process-change education related to patient access, authorization, billing, claims, follow-up, denials, reimbursement, and related revenue cycle technology platforms.

Annual Salary Range: $83,116.80 - $132,995.20

Qualification
Education

Requires bachelor\'s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Health Information Management, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field.

Equivalent combination of education and directly related revenue cycle, healthcare operations, or training experience may be considered.

Experience

Requires three (3) years of revenue cycle, patient access, billing, claims, denials, reimbursement, health information management, or related healthcare revenue cycle experience.

Experience developing, delivering, or maintaining training materials, job aids, workflow education, system training, or competency support for adult learners.

Experience using revenue cycle technology platforms, LMS tools, Microsoft Office applications, or related systems to support training delivery, documentation, and follow-up.

Experience supporting Epic or comparable revenue cycle technology workflows.

Experience with instructional design, e-learning tools, virtual training delivery, quality review, process improvement, or change-management support

Certification/Licensure

Epic certification or credential related to revenue cycle application training is preferred.

HFMA Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR), AAHAM certification, or Association for Talent Development (ATD) certification.
