Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college; preferably with major coursework in business, public, healthcare, or hospital administration.
• One year of supervisory experience over patient access or revenue cycle or patient business services functions in a hospital or health care agency.
• Knowledge of insurance billing, admitting and registration, revenue cycle, and credit and collection activities; laws, rules, regulations affecting patient access and revenue cycle functions; supervision and training.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the day-to-day operations of patient access or patient business services/revenue cycle functions.
• Respond to customer service complaint calls and monitor staff productivity.
• Develop and implement training programs for division personnel.
• Provide guidance to staff and coordinate with RUHS departments and external intermediaries to ensure accurate information flow.
• Prepare detailed financial and statistical reports and may participate in contract negotiations with fiscal intermediaries.

Education
