Job summary

The County of Riverside’s University Health System–Medical Center Patient Accounting is seeking a Patient Access or Patient Business Services Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations of staff performing backend Revenue Cycle functions, including Cash Posting, Self-Pay, Customer Service, Billing Records, Third-Party Liability (TPL), and mail units. Work Schedule: 5/40, Monday-Friday 7:30am - 4:00pm.

Located in Moreno Valley, RUHS Medical Center, a 439-bed facility with Level I Trauma Center

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, public, healthcare, or hospital administration or a closely related field.
• One year of supervisory experience over a patient access or revenue cycle or patient business services function in a hospital or health care setting.
• Knowledge of insurance billing, admitting and registration, revenue cycle, and related laws, policies, and procedures.
• Ability to organize, coordinate, and supervise the work of subordinate staff; develop instructional materials; analyze situations and report clearly.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day operations of one or more patient access or patient business services/revenue cycle functions.
• Develop, update and implement policies to achieve patient access and revenue cycle goals and maximize payments.
• Evaluate staff performance and provide comprehensive training programs.
• Provide technical guidance and coordinate with RUHS departments and external intermediaries.
• Participate in contract negotiations and prepare detailed financial and statistical reports.
