Qualifikationen

• Associate’s degree or relevant work experience.
• 2-3 years appealing denied or unpaid claims experience.
• 2-3 years of medical billing/collections experience.
• Revenue Cycle Certification (AAHAM) / AAPC Billing course within a year of employment.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and confidentiality policies.

• Supervise and mentor the Insurance Reimbursement Team and Cash Application Team.
• Decipher denial reasons and plan follow-up steps in the billing system.
• Coordinate collections for primary, secondary, or tertiary insurances.
• Oversee all levels of insurance appeals and provide guidance to reports.
• Train and direct staff; monitor aged accounts receivable.
• Ensure timely payer correspondence and submit appeals for underpayments.
