Job summary

You will maximize revenue by overseeing denial appeals, follow-up on unpaid claims, and ensuring compliant billing with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers.

Key duties include mentoring staff, monitoring aged AR, distributing payer correspondence, and developing efficient processes to reduce denials while maintaining HIPAA standards.

Qualifications

• Experience with payer billing and denials resolution.
• Ability to interpret EOBs and payments.
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and commercial payer guidelines.
• 2-3 years in medical billing/collections.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Insurance Reimbursement and Cash Application Teams.
• Plan follow-up steps after denials.
• Oversee collections for primary, secondary, and tertiary payers.
• Submit written appeals for underpayments.
• Monitor aged accounts receivable.
• Ensure timely payer correspondence.
• Develop staffing schedules and audit processes.
