Job summary

Mindful Support Services in Seattle is seeking an Insurance AR Manager to lead a high-performing AR team, focusing on denials management, timely claim resolution, and workflow optimization. You will collaborate with Revenue Cycle leadership to reduce denials and strengthen payer relationships.

The role requires senior experience in healthcare revenue cycle, leadership skills, and strong data analytics to improve cash recovery and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
• 5+ years in healthcare revenue cycle, insurance billing, reimbursement, collections, or AR.
• 3+ years of leadership experience; remote/hybrid management preferred.
• Ability to analyze operational and financial data to drive improvement.
• Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid and managed care claims; denials/appeals.
• Proficiency with EHR/PM systems, payer portals, Excel; AdvancedMD experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead Insurance AR to resolve outstanding balances, denials, and aging metrics.
• Set and monitor KPIs using AR, denial, payer, and staffing data.
• Oversee complex AR issues including denials, underpayments, and recoupments.
• Manage claim follow-up, corrected claims, appeals, and filing deadlines.
• Drive continuous improvement via workflow optimization and automation.
• Develop staffing plans and escalation frameworks for growth.
• Ensure payer reimbursement knowledge and regulatory compliance.
• Hire, mentor, and manage Insurance AR team members.
• Present operational and financial reports to leadership.
