Greene County General Hospital in Indiana seeks a Revenue Cycle Supervisor to oversee patient access, coding, billing, and collections, ensuring accurate processes and timely reimbursement.

You will report to the Revenue Cycle Director, lead HIM and business office staff, monitor performance metrics, conduct audits, and collaborate with physicians, payers and vendors to optimize revenue integrity. This full-time role emphasizes HIPAA compliance and cross-department collaboration.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Health Administration, Accounting, Finance or a related healthcare field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all phases of the revenue cycle including patient access, charge capture, coding, billing, claims submission, payment posting, denial management, and accounts receivable follow-up.
• Monitor KPIs: days in AR, clean claim rate, denial rate, cash collections, bad debt, and POS collections; implement corrective actions.
• Review AR aging reports to identify trends and resolve barriers to reimbursement.
• Supervise claim billing and follow-up with governmental, commercial, and managed care payers.
• Oversee denial management including tracking, root-cause analysis, appeals, and strategies to reduce denials.
• Coordinate revenue integrity initiatives to improve charge accuracy and maximize reimbursement.
• Analyze reimbursement trends and identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency.
• Conduct routine audits of revenue cycle workflows, billing practices, coding accuracy, and account resolution for compliance.
• Prepare and present revenue cycle metrics and updates to the Revenue Cycle Director and leadership.
• Collaborate with physicians, department managers, payers, and vendors to resolve reimbursement issues.
• Oversee purchasing of office supplies for staff.
• Complete biweekly payroll activity for business office and HIM staff.
• Interview, train and manage staff; conduct annual performance reviews and disciplinary counseling.
• Maintain staff attendance records and lead regular staff meetings to set goals.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies and HIPAA.
• Assist with monthly quality reporting and enhance EHR system utilization for performance.
• Promote excellent customer service and maintain office policies and procedures.
• Ensure patient confidentiality and handle special projects as needed.
