Amenity Health Services in Houston, TX is seeking a Revenue Cycle Specialist to manage the payment posting process and ensure accurate application of payments and adjustments to patient accounts. The role requires careful handling of financial transactions and strong knowledge of revenue cycle procedures.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience in accounting, finance or related field.
• Experience with medical billing procedures and medical terminology.
• Great customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Accurately post payments and adjustments to patient accounts, including insurance payments, patient payments and contractual adjustments.
• Bill therapy visits timely and accurately.
• Ensure all transactions are recorded in the electronic health record and billing systems.
• Perform reconciliation of payment batches and account balances.
• Identify discrepancies between posted payments and expected amounts.
• Maintain accurate and organized records and financial summaries.
• Provide insights and updates on payment trends, discrepancies, and collections performance to the management team.
• Maintain accurate and organized records of payment postings and related documentation.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements in the payment posting workflow.

The Revenue Cycle Specialist is also responsible for ensuring accurate and timely application of payments and adjustments to patient accounts.
