Responsibilities

• Accurately post payments and adjustments to patient accounts, including insurance and patient payments.
• Bill therapy visits timely and accurately.
• Ensure transactions are recorded in the electronic health record and billing systems.
• Perform reconciliation of payment batches and account balances.
• Identify discrepancies between posted payments and expected amounts.
• Maintain accurate and organized records and financial summaries.
• Provide insights on payment trends, discrepancies, and collections performance to management.
• Maintain documentation of payment postings and related records.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements in the payment posting workflow.

Work Overview

We are looking for a Revenue Cycle Specialist will be responsible for overseeing and maintaining the payment posting process. The Revenue Cycle Specialist is also responsible for ensuring accurate and timely application of payments and adjustments to patient accounts. The Revenue Cycle Specialist will have a strong understanding of revenue cycle processes and be adept at handling financial transactions and date with precision.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately post payments and adjustments to patient accounts, including insurance payments, patient payments and contractual adjustments
• Bill therapy visits timely and accurately
• Ensure all transactions are recorded in the electronic health record and billing systems
• Perform reconciliation of payment batches and account balances
• Identify discrepancies between posted payments and expected amounts
• Maintain accurate and organized records and financial summaries
• Provide insights and updates on payment trends, discrepancies, and collections performance to the management team
• Maintain accurate and organized records of payment postings and related documentation
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations
• Identify opportunities for process improvements in the payment posting workflow

Benefits

Requirements
