The Manager, Revenue Cycle Operations leads day-to-day billing and coding operations, overseeing Supervisors and the broader team to ensure quality, productivity, timeliness, and compliance. This hands-on leadership role requires coaching, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability

Qualifications

7+ years of Revenue Cycle experience
Substantial coding and billing operations experience
3+ years of direct people leadership experience
Certified Professional Coder (AAPC or AHIMA) required
Athenahealth or similar EHR platform experience preferred

Responsibilities

Lead day-to-day billing and coding operations across multiple markets, payers, service lines, and models.
Monitor coding queues, billing worklists, claim submissions, denials, and backlogs; manage staffing to meet service levels.
Provide technical guidance on CPT, ICD-10-CM, HCPCS, and coding compliance; advise on complex issues.
Escalate complex billing, coding, workflow, staffing, and payer issues; coordinate cross-functional resolution.
Partner with Revenue Integrity and Compliance on audits and policy interpretation.
Develop supervisors; establish KPIs, performance reviews, and continuous improvement.
