Job summary

PowerBack Rehabilitation in Las Cruces, NM is seeking a Business Office Manager to lead the full revenue cycle from pre-admission to discharge, optimize collections, ensure compliance, and guide a team of billing staff.

The role requires a high school diploma with accounting/finance coursework and at least five years in billing and collections, preferably in long-term care, plus strong knowledge of RCM metrics and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Accounting or finance coursework/degree preferred.
• At least five years of billing and collections experience, preferably in long-term care.
• Strong understanding of revenue cycle management systems, processes and performance metrics.
• Collaborative mindset with ability to lead and develop a business office team.
• Confident and professional in working with residents, families, and center leaders.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day revenue operations including census management, billing, collections, adjustments, and Medicaid tracking.
• Collaborate across Admissions, Clinical Reimbursement, and Social Services for accurate patient accounts.
• Act as financial liaison during resident journey from admission through discharge.
• Support compliance with state, federal, and corporate guidelines including cash handling and segregation of duties.
• Utilize revenue cycle performance metrics to identify challenges and develop solutions.
• Partner with Market RCM leaders to align with broader business office initiatives.
