Job summary

Peachtree Spine and Sports Physicians seeks a Billing Operations Supervisor to lead a team of billing and verifications specialists and oversee all billing activities. You will drive performance, train staff, and streamline processes in partnership with Admin and management.

The role requires prior leadership experience in a medical setting, strong knowledge of medical terminology and CPT/ICD coding, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Prior experience leading and managing a team.
• Knowledge and experience using Epic EHR.
• Prior experience in a medical office or hospital environment.
• Medical terminology, CPT/ICD 9 and 10 coding experience; data entry and word processing skills.
• Advanced clerical training, including typing, basic filing skills, and fundamental understanding of office procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide performance feedback and document quarterly check-ins with all staff in the department.
• Train new hires and provide support to existing team members as needed.
• Coordinate cross training amongst team to ensure all roles are maintained.
• Work closely with Admin on end of month closing procedures.
• Identify and develop processes to streamline billing processes to industry standards.
• Consistently review work of billing staff to ensure accuracy, resolving inconsistencies as needed.
• Host monthly team meetings to review any process updates or changes.
• Participate in leadership meetings as scheduled.
• Communicate with management on problem solving via email and phone.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
