Qualifications

• Direct professional experience within substance use disorder and/or mental health treatment.
• Operational or leadership experience within a behavioral health treatment environment.
• Working knowledge of behavioral health facility operations and relevant levels of care.
• Experience with core operational functions such as patient intake, admissions, utilization review, staffing, scheduling, discharges, census management, or patient retention.
• Ability and willingness to maintain an active, visible presence in day-to-day facility operations.
• Strong organizational, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work across admissions, clinical, and operational teams.
• Commitment to behavioral health care, recovery, and a strong patient experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee revenue cycle management operations including claims submission and denial management.
• Develop strategies to maximize reimbursement and improve collection rates.
• Monitor KPIs like denial rates, days in AR, clean claim rates, reimbursement trends.
• Collaborate with billing, utilization review, credentialing, and operations teams.
• Analyze denials and payer patterns to improve financial outcomes.
• Ensure processes align with billing regulations and best practices.
• Prepare financial performance reports and provide strategic recommendations.
