Job summary

Alamance County Government seeks a Registration & Revenue Operations Supervisor to lead billing and coding across personal health clinics. You will supervise staff, ensure accuracy, and drive compliant revenue operations to strengthen financial performance.

You will coordinate with the clinical management team on data reporting, credentialing, and technology needs, including Epic EMR. The role requires collaboration with nursing leadership and emergency response involvement.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Medical Office Billing and Coding or related field with 12 credit hours in billing/coding and 3+ years billing experience
• Or high school diploma with 5+ years medical billing/coding experience
• Equivalent combination of education and experience accepted

Responsibilities

• Supervises Administrative Assistant I, three Customer Relations Representatives IV, and a Processing Assistant IV
• Ensures compliance with billing and coding laws and standards
• Performs audits and coding reviews for accuracy and documentation
• Communicates with insurance companies to resolve billing issues
• Submits data for analysis by clinical management
• Manages provider credentialing through CAQH and NCTracks administration
• Recommends write-offs, fee adjustments, and policy updates
• Oversees Medicaid cost settlement reporting
• Ensures technology needs for billing in clinics are met
• Collaborates on revenue projections for budgeting and revenue cycle management
• Participates in local public health emergency response activities
