Job summary

• Associate degree in medical billing/coding and 3+ years of related experience.
• Or high school diploma with 5+ years of medical billing and coding experience.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Supervises Administrative Assistant I, three Customer Relations Representatives IV, and a processing assistant IV (Vital Records).
• Ensures compliance with billing and coding requirements.
• Performs audits and coding reviews for accuracy and documentation.
• Communicates with insurance companies to resolve billing and claims issues.
• Submits data for analysis by the clinical management team.
• Manages provider credentialing through CAQH and serves as the NCTracks Office Administrator.
• Recommends write-offs, fee adjustments, policy updates, and tech purchases.
• Oversees Medicaid cost settlement reporting.
• Ensures technology needs are met (hardware, software, phones, printing).
• Collaborates on budgeting and revenue cycle management for clinics.
• Participates in local public health emergency response as needed.
