Job summary

Serval is seeking a senior revenue accounting professional in San Francisco to own revenue, billing, and control systems. This role emphasizes building agentic workflows, ensuring accurate revenue recognition, and maintaining audit-ready processes across multi-year ramps and usage-based contracts.

You will report to the VP, Controller, collaborate with RevOps, Sales, Legal, Engineering and auditors, and help scale our contract complexity while driving cash flow and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Big 4 assurance or advisory experience with 5–8 years total experience.
• Active CPA license and ASC 606 experience.
• Experience owning revenue, billing or AR for enterprise customers.
• Builder mindset with ability to design end-to-end workflows.

Responsibilities

• Own revenue inputs to monthly, quarterly and year-end close, including revenue waterfall and ARR reconciliation.
• Own billing and collections, AR aging and cash forecasting.
• Design agentic workflows to extract pricing terms, generate invoices and draft revenue entries.
• Document controls and audit-ready quote-to-cash processes; support audits and SOX readiness.
• Cover payroll and benefits operations as part of the finance function.
