Job summary

Affirm is seeking an experienced analytics engineer to join the Revenue Analytics team. You will turn ambiguous business problems into scalable data products, models, and dashboards, guiding AI enablement and ensuring robust semantic foundations across the Revenue data layer.

You will lead technical direction, collaborate with cross-functional partners, and mentor analysts to raise data product quality and impact for revenue operations and external reporting.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in analytics engineering or related technical analytics role.
• Deep expertise in SQL, dbt, data modeling, metrics design, data quality, and documentation.
• Strong working knowledge of BI tools (Sigma, Looker, Tableau) and cloud data warehouses (Snowflake) and Databricks.

Responsibilities

• Lead high-impact data product initiatives for Revenue from problem definition through design, implementation, rollout, and adoption.
• Advance AI initiatives within the Revenue data ecosystem, identifying high-value use cases and establishing semantic, metadata, and evaluation foundations.
• Design and build durable, well-tested data products powering revenue operations, reporting, and self-service for analysts.
• Set technical direction for Revenue’s data layer across dbt models, metrics, semantic structures, documentation, lineage, testing, governance, and access controls.
• Identify opportunities to automate and scale Revenue Analytics through improved data architecture, tooling, governance, and enablement.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to analysts and cross-functional partners, raising the bar for data product design and maintenance.
