Job summary

Affirm is seeking an experienced analytics engineer to lead the development of scalable data products for the Revenue organization. You will drive data modeling, metrics, governance, and AI enablement across the data layer, ensuring reliable analytics for revenue teams and executives.

You will mentor analysts, collaborate with cross-functional partners, and shape the semantic foundations that power AI-enabled analytics.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in analytics engineering, BI, data engineering, or related analytics role.
• Deep expertise in SQL, dbt, data modeling, metrics design, data quality, documentation, and modern analytics engineering practices.
• Strong working knowledge of BI tools (Sigma/Looker/Tableau) and cloud data warehouses (Snowflake) and platforms (Databricks).
• Understanding foundations for reliable AI—semantic layers, metadata, evaluation, lineage, access controls, and data quality.

Responsibilities

• Lead high-impact data product initiatives for Revenue from problem definition to design, implementation and rollout.
• Advance AI initiatives within the Revenue data ecosystem by identifying high-value use cases and integrating AI into analytics workflows.
• Design and build durable, well-tested data products powering revenue operations, field reporting, merchant reporting and self-service analytics.
• Set technical direction for Revenue's data layer across dbt models, metrics, semantic structures, documentation, lineage and governance.
• Identify opportunities to simplify, automate and scale Revenue Analytics through improved data architecture and tooling.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to analysts and cross-functional partners.
