Job summary

Waxahachie ISD is seeking a Revenue/Specialist Accounting Clerk in Waxahachie, TX. The role handles revenue receipt, deposits, and coding, reporting to the Director of Accounting.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED
• Experience with Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable and Purchasing required; school district experience preferred
• TASBO certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Maintain daily revenue processing and deposits; prepare and apply payments
• Assist Accounting Director with RFPs and purchasing duties
• Assist with 1099 reporting and year-end duties
• Train district staff on Finance/Budgetary software and resolve issues
• Maintain Master Vendor Listing and update vendor records
• Record revenues from tax office, investments, campuses, and other sources
• Code transactions correctly, deposit funds, and enter into Finance system
• Prepare monthly tax collection information and reconcile payments to deposits
• Enter journal entries for funds, corrections, and receipts
• Advise Accounting Director on revenue/purchasing matters
• Back-up Accounts Payable clerk during absences
• Support department with miscellaneous accounting tasks
