Job summary

IMG Academy is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead accounting functions, ensure accurate financial reporting, and maintain compliance with U.S. GAAP.

The role focuses on revenue recognition and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support products and scalable processes. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s in Accounting with 4+ years of accounting experience, strong ASC 606 knowledge, and advanced Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• Four years of experience in public or private accounting.
• Strong understanding of ASC 606 and revenue recognition.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and revenue recognition.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with financial systems.
• Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills for data investigation.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Experience with NetSuite, Salesforce, Tableau preferred.
• Background check required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze financial data and reports from multiple systems to validate results and ensure accuracy.
• Lead revenue recognition process, including ASC 606 analyses of contracts and obligations.
• Prepare and review journal entries and monthly close financial statements.
• Evaluate accounting implications of new products and services and develop recognition processes.
• Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP.
• Manage external audits and assist with audited financial statements.
• Identify opportunities to improve and automate accounting processes.
• Partner with stakeholders to implement scalable accounting solutions and systems.
• Stay current on accounting standards and advise management on changes.
• Support development of accounting team members and cross-functional collaboration.
• Maintain confidentiality and adherence to policies.
