What does a Revenue Manager do at Hogarth?


As a
Revenue Managerat Hogarth, you’ll play a key role in managing the financial health of client projects by overseeing revenue tracking, forecasting, and reporting. You’ll work closely with Client Services, Finance, and Operations teams to ensure accurate revenue recognition, maintain financial controls, and help drive profitability across accounts. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and a proactive mindset toward process improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage monthly revenue recognition processes for assigned clients and projects, ensuring compliance with internal policies and accounting standards
  • Manage and develop the revenue operations team members based in NY and offshore
  • Maintain accurate and timely revenue forecasts in collaboration with Client Services and Project Management teams
  • Track client budgets and scopes of work, providing ongoing updates and variance analysis to internal teams
  • Monitor and reconcile billing, working with the Client Finance team to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies
  • Generate and review client profitability reports, offering insights and recommendations to improve margins
  • Partner with Finance and Operations to streamline workflows and support month-end close
  • Lead project setup and maintenance in financial systems, ensuring alignment with revenue tracking requirements
  • Support internal and external audit processes by preparing and maintaining the required revenue documentation
  • Create and maintain Excel-based reports, including pivot tables, lookups, and variance summaries
  • Participate in financial review meetings with internal teams and help prepare client-facing financial documentation
  • Provide training regarding the revenue recognition process to the operational team and to the junior members of the revenue operations team

Job requirements:

  • 5–7 years of finance experience, with a strong focus on revenue management, client finance, or project accounting
  • Background in creative, advertising, production, or media agency environments strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of revenue recognition principles and client budgeting in a Sarbanes–Oxley Act environment
  • High proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, advanced Excel formulas); experience with financial dashboards or automation tools a plus
  • Experience using financial systems such asMaconomy(preferred), SAP, NetSuite, or similar
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines under pressure
  • Clear and confident communicator with the ability to explain financial information to non-finance stakeholders
  • Proactive, collaborative, and able to work independently when needed
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field

The base salary range for this position at the time of this posting is indicated below. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications.
