Revenue Accounting Manager

Lob is seeking an energetic and motivated Revenue Accounting Manager to join our growing accounting team. This role is responsible for all aspects of our end-to-end order to cash process at Lob. You will collaborate with various business partners, support the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, and contribute to process improvements and special projects. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about revenue accounting and team contribution, reporting to the Controller.

Responsibilities include:

1. Manage the revenue accounting close process, ensuring timely and accurate revenue reporting and journal entries.
2. Develop a deep understanding of Lob’s product offerings, customer contracts, and pricing structures.
3. Maintain compliance with ASC 606, planning and documenting accounting treatments for new transactions.
4. Identify and drive process improvements to increase internal efficiencies.
5. Lead automation initiatives within the quote to cash cycle.
6. Administer the 3rd party CPQ + Billing + Revenue system, enabling new product setups and maintaining system workflows.
7. Manage and coach a team overseeing billing, receivables, and collections, ensuring contract accuracy.
8. Support the financial close processes and reconcile complex accounts.
9. Conduct flux analysis of general ledger accounts.
10. Handle capitalization of internally developed software and commissions under relevant ASC standards.
11. Assist with sales tax compliance and audit preparations.
12. Develop and document accounting processes and procedures.
13. Support ad-hoc projects and audit responses.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (required).
2. 7+ years relevant experience, including 2+ years in revenue accounting at a SaaS tech company.
3. CPA and public accounting experience are a plus.
4. Strong knowledge of GAAP, ASC 606, ASC 340, ASC 350.
5. Experience with ERP systems like NetSuite, proficiency with Google Suite, Slack, Salesforce, Excel.
6. Excellent communication skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
7. West Coast or Mountain time zone preferred.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

• Experience with NetSuite, Bill.com, Expensify, Asana.
• Industry experience in technology, print, or advertising sectors.
• Experience with late-stage startups.

Compensation & Benefits:

Base salary: $127,500-$157,500 plus Restricted Stock Units. Salary ranges are based on market data and individual qualifications. Lob offers remote work in specified states unless otherwise noted.
