Manager, Financial Reporting and Technical Accounting

Primary Responsibilities

• Coordinate quarterly and annual SEC filings (Forms 10-Q and 10-K), including preparation, review, and submission.
• Prepare disclosures, financial statements, footnotes, and MD&A.
• Manage processes supporting SEC disclosures, including consolidation efforts.
• Coordinate internal requests, compile documentation, and support SEC filings with tie-out support.
• Conduct accounting research on complex transactions and prepare memos.
• Review peer company disclosures and monitor new accounting pronouncements for impact analysis.
• Collaborate with external auditors and internal teams during audits and reviews.
• Review XBRL tagging of financial statements and footnotes.
• Support quarterly earnings releases and investor communications.
• Identify process improvements to enhance reporting efficiency.
• Lead special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• 5-8 years of relevant experience, preferably with SEC reporting or in public accounting.
• CPA is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial statement review.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organization skills and adherence to deadlines.
• Proactive problem solver with strong communication skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; experience with Workiva is a plus.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

This role is primarily remote, with occasional in-person meetings in the NYC metro area. The work environment is moderate noise. The physical demands include sitting, handling, and using hands frequently; standing, walking, and speaking as needed.
