Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Senior Revenue Accountant to own the month-end close and ASC 606 commitments. You will work hands-on across revenue recognition, data validation, and reporting, partnering with Revenue Assurance to address non-standard terms.

You will automate processes, leverage AI tools, and collaborate with Revenue Operations, Deal Desk, Billing, and FP&A to scale the revenue function.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting with strong knowledge of revenue principles.
• Experience with ASC 606 and complex revenue recognition scenarios.
• Operational accounting experience in a growing company and familiarity with quote-to-cash.
• Ability to pull reports, trace transactions, and validate outputs from source systems.
• Hands-on and independent, with strong prioritization and meeting deadlines.
• Experience using Excel, NetSuite, and Salesforce; comfort with SQL and AI tools.

Responsibilities

• Own the close, end to end: monthly close activities, journal entries, reconciliations, analytics.
• Apply ASC 606 with precision to contracts, including non-standard terms.
• Pull, validate, and troubleshoot data yourself; manage data quality.
• Automate processes by writing SQL, building scripts, and partnering with engineering.
• Leverage AI tools to accelerate tasks such as memos and data summaries.
• Support financial reporting with key metrics and disclosures.
• Collaborate with Revenue Operations, Deal Desk, Billing, FP&A, and FDS.
• Assist audit efforts with organized workpapers and liaison with auditors.
• Drive process improvements to speed the close and reduce risk.
