Job summary

Victor Community Support Services is seeking a Revenue Accountant to support agency-wide revenue accounting, invoicing, and collections under the Revenue Manager. The role collaborates with programs across counties and supports month-end accruals and reporting.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field and experience with computerized accounting systems; strong Excel skills and excellent communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; four years of related accounting experience can substitute for the degree.
• Experience with computerized accounting systems and intermediate MS Excel.
• Ability to work effectively across multiple locations and divisions in a collaborative manner.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, listening and problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a comprehensive communications network with programs and counties to facilitate receivable and collection activities and produce aging reports.
• Prepare and process invoices for certain programs and maintain documentation.
• Set up new clients in accounting software and prepare monthly revenue accruals.
• Validate billing data including termination dates to ensure proper reimbursements with counties and foster parents.
• Coordinate daily cash deposits, coding, and follow-up on short payments/overpayments; maintain AR sub-ledger.
