Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is hiring for a First Shift Returns Processor in Modesto, CA. You will open and verify returned merchandise, scan items, and place freight in proper locations. The role runs Tuesday–Friday, 6:00am–4:30pm, with a pay rate of $20.20 per hour and eligibility for an attendance bonus.

Ideal candidates have at least 6 months of warehouse experience, including returns processing. Safety standards, equipment operation, and career development opportunities are emphasized at DHL Supply

Qualifications

• Six months warehouse experience preferred.
• Six months forklift operation experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• Material handling equipment certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Open, verify, and process returned merchandise.
• Load, unload, stock, and stage product as needed.
• Ensure items are scanned and directed to correct destination.
• Identify items requiring special handling or separation.
• Maintain safety and sanitation standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Role Purpose

Opens and verifies returned merchandise, scans merchandise, and places freight in proper locations.

Key Accountabilities

• Load, unload, move, stock, and stage product. May require using powered equipment.
• Verify proper item is in the original packaging in preparation for scanning.
• Assure accurate and proper processing of all freight utilizing the scanning system.
• Identify items that require special processing or separation (e.g. hazardous material, store services, research, salvage).
• Ensure that scanned freight reaches the appropriate destination (e.g. slot, destroy, salvage).
• Stack and tape pallets in a safe manner.
• Observe all safety and sanitation standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Required Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or Equivalent, preferred
• Material handling equipment certification, preferred
• Six months warehouse experience, preferred
• Six months forklift operation experience, preferred
