Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is seeking a First (1st) Shift Returns Processor to handle opened and returned merchandise. The role involves verifying items, scanning, and placing freight in proper locations, with a focus on accuracy and safety.

The ideal candidate has at least six months of warehouse experience, including returns, and may require forklift operation skills. Compensation includes an attendance bonus and health benefits after eligibility.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Open and verify returned merchandise and scan items for processing.
• Load, unload, stock, and stage products, using appropriate equipment.
• Ensure accurate processing of all freight in the scanning system.
• Identify items requiring special handling (hazardous material, salvage, store services).
• Ensure scanned freight reaches correct destinations (slot, destroy, salvage).
• Stack and secure pallets safely and observe safety standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Role Purpose

Opens and verifies returned merchandise, scans merchandise, and places freight in proper locations.

Key Accountabilities

• Load, unload, move, stock, and stage product. May require using powered equipment.
• Verify proper item is in the original packaging in preparation for scanning.
• Assure accurate and proper processing of all freight utilizing the scanning system.
• Identify items that require special processing or separation (e.g. hazardous material, store services, research, salvage).
• Ensure that scanned freight reaches the appropriate destination (e.g. slot, destroy, salvage).
• Stack and tape pallets in a safe manner.
• Observe all safety and sanitation standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Required Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or Equivalent, preferred
• Material handling equipment certification, preferred
• Six months warehouse experience, preferred
• Six months forklift operation experience, preferred
