Job summary

DHL Supply Chain in Las Vegas is hiring for a First (1st) Shift Returns Processor. This role involves opening and verifying returned merchandise, scanning, and placing freight in proper locations, with a 5:30am–3:30pm shift and $19.75/hour pay.

Eligible for an attendance bonus and comprehensive benefits. Ideal candidates have at least six months of warehouse experience, including returns handling, and may have forklift operation familiarity.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• Material handling equipment certification preferred.
• Six months warehouse experience preferred.
• Six months forklift operation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Open and verify returned merchandise; scan and place freight in proper locations.
• Load, unload, stock, and stage product; may require powered equipment.
• Verify items in original packaging in preparation for scanning.
• Ensure proper processing of freight using the scanning system.
• Identify items requiring special processing (hazardous material, salvage, etc.).
• Ensure scanned freight reaches correct destination (slot, destroy, salvage).
• Observe safety and sanitation standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Role Purpose

Opens and verifies returned merchandise, scans merchandise, and places freight in proper locations.

Key Accountabilities

• Load, unload, move, stock, and stage product. May require using powered equipment.
• Verify proper item is in the original packaging in preparation for scanning.
• Assure accurate and proper processing of all freight utilizing the scanning system.
• Identify items that require special processing or separation (e.g. hazardous material, store services, research, salvage).
• Ensure that scanned freight reaches the appropriate destination (e.g. slot, destroy, salvage).
• Stack and tape pallets in a safe manner.
• Observe all safety and sanitation standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Required Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or Equivalent, preferred
• Material handling equipment certification, preferred
• Six months warehouse experience, preferred
• Six months forklift operation experience, preferred
