Job summary

Zimmer Biomet in the United States (Indiana, Warsaw) seeks a Return Receiver/Classifier to handle returns in the distribution center, inspecting items and routing credits.

You will process high volumes (400–500 per day), assign grade codes, sort returns, and prepare credit paperwork, with occasional cross-functional support.

Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs and have basic Excel/Word skills; familiarity with warehouse systems (DCS/XA) is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Must be able to transport up to 75 pounds.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word preferred.
• Experience in DCS & XA systems preferred.
• Familiarity with gauges to classify returned products per WI107030.
• Intermediate knowledge of 5S Standards to comply with procedures within Distribution Center.
• Must be able to operate pallet jack and shrink-wrap machine.

Responsibilities

• Receives and inspects various Return types at an average rate of 400 to 500 return products per day.
• Assign appropriate grade codes, sort, and initiate credit paperwork to ensure customer receives proper credit.
• Sort incoming mail as to type of return (product complaint, repairs, credits, competitive conversions, or upgrades).
• Process HIGHVOL Returns to DHL facility on daily basis & periodically assist Distribution with Receiving functions within warehouse.
• Performs related duties or projects assigned by supervisor.

What You Can Expect

Return Receiver/Classifier will receive, classify, and sort all returned product to initiate credit, replacement, conversions, and upgrades to customers. Classification of product occurs per appropriate specifications allowing for established standards, policies, and procedures. Classifier must have flexibility to assist cross-functional teams within Distribution Center as needs arise across Distribution Operations team.
