Job summary

Remote Jobs seeks a Fiscal Analyst 2 for the Washington Department of Retirement Systems in Tumwater. You will reconcile cash transactions, coordinate with OST and AFRS, and process transfers between retirement systems while ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience performing a variety of accounting and fiscal duties efficiently and in compliance with policies and procedures.
• Experience with account reconciliations, payments tracking, accounts receivable and payroll is preferred.
• Education may substitute for up to one year of experience with college coursework in accounting.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily reconciliations of cash received between DRS's financial reporting system, OST, and AFRS.
• Complete monthly reconciliations for cash, AR, HERP, 401( H), MIS for 12 retirement trust funds.
• Review and correct accounting data flowing into AFRS through research and reconciliations.
• Prepare plan and system transfers between retirement systems and plans to keep AFRS balances accurate.
• Prepare general fund transfers to ensure proper funding of retirement funds receiving general fund contributions.
• Prepare fiscal year-end closing adjustments and accruals for correct period.
• Compile, scan, and archive daily cash receipt documentation for audits.
• Participate in design and implementation of new accounting systems, procedures, and controls.
