Job summary

The State of Washington Department of Retirement Systems seeks a Fiscal Analyst 2- Reconciliation Desk to maintain accurate financial records and coordinate with OST and AFRS.

You will reconcile cash receipts, process transfers, and support audit-ready documentation, with telework up to three days weekly after probation, requiring residency in Washington and availability for in-person meetings as needed.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience performing a variety of accounting and fiscal duties in compliance with policies.
• Experience with account reconciliations, payments tracking, AR/payroll is common in this role.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily reconciliations of cash received between DRS's reporting system, OST, and AFRS.
• Complete monthly reconciliations for cash, AR, HERP, 401(H), and MIS for 12 retirement funds.
• Review, analyze, and correct data flowing into AFRS through research and reconciliations.
• Prepare plan/system transfers to keep AFRS balances accurate.
• Prepare general fund transfers to ensure proper funding.
• Prepare year-end closing adjustments and accruals.
• Compile, scan, and archive daily cash receipt documentation.
• Assist in designing and implementing new accounting systems and controls.
