Job summary

Banner Life Insurance Company is seeking a transition-focused professional to manage onboarding for new business and annuitant data validation. You will collaborate with clients, representatives, and internal teams to ensure accurate data delivery and timely installation of transitions.

The role emphasizes strong communication, independent work ethic, and the ability to handle multiple tasks with a solution‑oriented mindset. A background in pension plans or annuities is valued.

Qualifications

• Defined Benefit Plan experience required.
• Pension plan administration, retirement benefits, annuity, or financial services experience required.
• 3+ years’ experience in a customer service or related position required.
• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Access) required.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college and/or university preferred.
• 1+ years project management experience preferred.
• Project Management Professional (PMP), PRINCE2 or similar certification preferred.
• Understanding of annuities and life insurance products.
• Data reconciliation and/or data analytic skills.
• Ability to work independently and/or in a team environment.
• Strong project management, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, work independently, and exercise good judgment.
• Self‑motivated, proactive, and detail‑oriented with a strong sense of ownership.
• Proven ability to build trust, maintain relationships, and lead through influence.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
• High level of confidentiality, discretion, and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a world‑class customer experience to each client and their annuitants, ensuring the transition (onboarding) to Banner Life is efficient, accurate, and completed according to plan effective deadline.
• Support Transition team members in the installation of new business by actively participating in internal and external meetings, developing effective means of communication, and ensuring cross‑functional departments receive accurate data.
• Responsible for collaborating with clients, designated representatives, and internal partners to obtain annuitant data, and perform validation testing of annuitant mailings.
• Develop effective communication materials to use with clients and annuitants during the transition phase.
• Actively participate in identifying and resolving issues to ensure installation is completed timely, accurately, and efficiently.
• Effectively communicate to all appropriate parties, including the client and senior management, to ensure everyone receives all information relevant to transition.
• Identify, communicate, and manage risks through appropriate controls while ensuring timely escalation to leadership when warranted.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
