Job summary

MOHR Talent in Bristol, CT is seeking a Retirement Plan Consultant to advise clients on 401(k) plan design, implementation, compliance and fiduciary responsibilities, and to serve as the primary contact for plan sponsors and participants.

You will lead plan reviews, partner with advisors, investment teams and TPAs, stay current on ERISA, IRS and DOL updates, and support new business with retirement plan proposals and presentations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience managing 401(k) plans or retirement services
• Strong working knowledge of ERISA, IRS, and DOL regulations
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Ability to explain complex retirement concepts in a client-friendly way

Responsibilities

Retirement Plan Consultant

Bristol, Connecticut Direct Hire $105000 /

A well established and growing wealth management firm with a collaborative team that cares about their people is hiring a Retirement Plan Consultant. You will be the go-to retirement plan expert, helping clients build and manage plans that fit their goals while helping participants feel confident about their futures.

What You'll Do:

• Advise clients on 401(k) plan design, implementation, compliance, and fiduciary responsibilities
• Serve as the primary point of contact for plan sponsors and participants
• Lead regular plan reviews to keep plans compliant and optimized
• Partner with advisors, investment teams, and third-party administrators (TPAs)
• Stay current on ERISA, IRS, and DOL updates
• Support new business with retirement plan proposals and presentations

What You Bring:

• Series 66 required, and willingness to obtain your Series 7
• 3+ years of experience managing 401(k) plans, retirement services, or related financial services
• Strong working knowledge of ERISA, IRS, and DOL regulations
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Ability to explain complex retirement concepts in a client-friendly way
• QKA, QKC, or CPFA is a plus
