Retirement Plan Relationship Manager (Plan Sponsor & Participant Services)
Are you passionate about helping organizations and individuals achieve better retirement outcomes? We're seeking an experienced, relationship-driven Retirement Plan Relationship Manager to serve as a trusted advisor to employer-sponsored retirement plans and the employees who participate in them.
What You'll Do
- Serve as the primary relationship manager for employer-sponsored retirement plan clients, building trusted partnerships with plan sponsors, HR teams, and fiduciary committees.
- Conduct regular client meetings, plan reviews, and strategic discussions to ensure retirement plans remain aligned with organizational goals and industry best practices.
- Support plan sponsors in fulfilling their ERISA fiduciary responsibilities through investment reviews, plan benchmarking, documentation, and prudent recommendations.
- Analyze investment lineups, fees, utilization trends, and plan performance; identify opportunities to improve participant outcomes and plan effectiveness.
- Prepare and present retirement plan reviews, benchmarking reports, fiduciary analyses, and service recommendations.
- Coordinate with recordkeepers, third-party administrators, investment providers, and internal teams to ensure a seamless client experience.
- Provide retirement plan guidance and support to individual participants through enrollment meetings, one-on-one consultations, and retirement readiness discussions.
- Deliver educational workshops, webinars, and participant communication campaigns that help employees make informed decisions about saving and investing for retirement.
- Assist participants with questions related to investment options, asset allocation, retirement planning strategies, and distribution considerations.
- Stay current on retirement plan regulations, ERISA requirements, and industry trends that impact both plan sponsors and participants.
- Contribute to client retention and business growth by deepening existing relationships and identifying opportunities to expand services.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Active Series 65 license required.
- 3-5+ years of experience working with employer-sponsored retirement plans, retirement plan consulting, investment advisory services, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of qualified retirement plans, including 401(k), 403(b), and other defined contribution and defined benefit plan structures.
- Working knowledge of ERISA regulations, fiduciary responsibilities, investment monitoring, and retirement plan governance.
- Experience presenting to plan committees, executives, HR teams, and retirement plan participants.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret plan data and investment information.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain complex retirement and investment concepts in a clear and approachable manner.
- A client-first mindset with a focus on responsiveness, relationship management, and long-term partnership development.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with retirement plan administration, reporting, and CRM platforms.
- Professional designations such as CFP®, CRPS®, AIF®, CFA®, or similar credentials are a plus.

Location & Compensation
Location: Remote with monthly in office meetings at the company's location in Massachusetts.
Compensation: $85,000-$95,000 base salary plus performance-based incentives and bonus opportunities.
