Job summary

STRS Ohio is seeking a New Retirement Account Representative to join the Member Benefits Processing team in Columbus. You will document and calculate various benefit payments, including service retirement and disability, ensure accurate tax withholdings, and coordinate with internal departments to deliver high-quality service to STRS Ohio members.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree in business or related field preferred.
• Ability to evaluate data and compute benefit payments accurately.

Responsibilities

• Document and calculate member benefit payments including service retirement and disability.
• Prepare benefit estimates and ensure accurate tax withholding and direct deposit setup.
• Review and verify records, liaise with internal departments, and respond to member inquiries.
• Process changes (name, address, tax withholdings) for pending accounts.
• Maintain accurate records and escalate issues to management when needed.
