Job summary

State Teachers Retirement System of Ohio seeks a Post-Retirement Benefits Processing Accounts Representative for the Recipient Benefits Processing team. The role focuses on death report processing, beneficiary determination, and benefit adjustments in a structured office setting.

Under supervision, you will prepare documents for payments, review records, and ensure accuracy while handling confidential information.

Qualifications

• Requires High School diploma or equivalent and college coursework or 3 years of relevant experience.
• Associate degree in business or related field preferred.
• Proven ability to analyze information and apply business rules to process requests.

Responsibilities

• Process death notifications for recipients and review family information.
• Prepare documents for benefits payable including POA, bank and tax changes.
• Analyze records and process lump-sum and monthly benefits to beneficiaries.
• Determine eligibility and changes due to marriage, divorce or death.
• Communicate with internal/external contacts and support team in Benefits processing.
