Job summary

Midwest Operating Engineers is seeking a Retirement Services Group Analyst in Countryside, IL. You will oversee day-to-day administration of pension and retiree welfare plans, including customer service, member support, and complex benefit calculations.

The role requires strong analytical and mathematical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication. You will interact with retirees, families, and internal teams to ensure accurate benefit processing and compliance.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and mathematical skills to interpret plan documents and calculate benefits.
• Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
• Clear written and verbal communication with members and families.
• Proficient with Word, Outlook and Excel for benefit communications.
• Ability to discuss complex retirement options with retirees.

Responsibilities

• Prepare retirement benefit estimates and verifications and coordinate payments.
• Provide full-service support to retirees and families via phone, email, mail, and in-person meetings.
• Prepare letters outlining pension calculations and eligibility.
• Meet with members in appointments, district visits, and seminars to explain options.
• Review plan documents and SPD to determine eligibility and administer benefits.
• Collaborate with Accounts Receivable and Delinquency to resolve issues.
• Partner with actuaries to review specialized benefit calculations.
• Administer disability pension-related processes and certifications.
• Review QDROs and subpoena requests in legal compliance.
• Stay informed on evolving federal/state regulations affecting benefits.
