Job summary

Lawley Services Inc. is seeking a senior leader to guide the Retirement team in designing client retirement plans, presenting proposals, and delivering superior service. You will mentor staff, monitor workflows, and drive retention across a growing book of business.

The role emphasizes leadership presence, strong knowledge of retirement offerings, and compliance with securities licensing requirements. Hybrid work options and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of related experience in the retirement plan industry
  • Leadership experience in retirement industry preferred
  • Series 7 and 66 or Series 65 (or willingness to obtain in 120 days)

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and support Lawley Retirement associates reinforcing clear expectations, accountability, collaboration, and service standards
  • Manage a dedicated book of business of Lawley Retirement clients; design retirement plans, make recommendations, prepare proposals, and facilitate client presentations
  • Monitor workflow and service delivery; identify trends and implement efficiency improvements
  • Lead retirement team integration work for mergers and acquisitions including onboarding, workflows, and provider relationships
  • Coordinate with Retirement Sales to onboard new clients and provide ongoing service support
  • Achieve retention goal of 95% or greater
  • Mentor team members in retirement topics and systems
  • Attend leadership programs and training to model professionalism and integrity
  • Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality

Salary Range: $71,706.08 To $119,510.13 Annually

These are the fundamental responsibilities of the job:

  • Lead, coach, and support Lawley Retirement associates reinforcing clear expectations, accountability, collaboration, and consistent service standards
  • This position manages a dedicated book of business of Lawley Retirement clients supporting retirement plan design, making recommendations, preparing proposals and facilitating presentations for clients / participants
  • Monitors retirement team work flow, service delivery, follow-through, and client experience; identifies trends and implements improvements to efficiency and productivity
  • Lead the retirement team’s integration work for mergers and acquisitions, including onboarding acquired associates, clients, workflows, provider relationships, technology, and service practices
  • Coordinate with Lawley Retirement Sales team to establish clear handoffs, effectively onboard new clients, and maintain consistent ongoing service support
  • Reach and maintain retention goal of 95% or greater
  • Serve as an expert and mentor, actively coach and develop team members in retirement topics including but not limited to retirement offerings, clients and systems
  • Attend and participate in all leadership programs, workshops and training sessions to build and maintain effective leadership skills; model professionalism and integrity while guiding the team toward shared goals
  • Maintains consistent and dependable attendance, availability, and punctuality as required to effectively perform the essential functions of the position

Other functions of the job:

  • Expand and grow in your role when supporting miscellaneous duties as requested

Skills / traits that we value for this role:

  • 3 years or more related experience within the retirement plan industry, which would include the following type of experience: retirement plan client relationship management, retirement plan participant education experience, related corporate retirement plan experience or individual investment experience
  • Prior leadership experience in the retirement industry preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Industry knowledge required; Life, Accident and Health and SIE (Securities Industry Essentials) preferred
  • Series 7 and 66 OR Series 65 required (or willingness to obtain in the first 120 days)
  • Computers skills are a must; expertise in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook required
  • Successful completion of all necessary components in Lawley’s leadership development pathway
  • Ability to work well independently and on a team
  • Incredible attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Open to continuing education, college degree preferred
  • Positive attitude, even in a fast-paced environment
  • A passion to make customers and coworkers feel important and valued

The compensation range for this position takes many factors into consideration including but not limited to: years of experience/training, skill set, and licenses/designations. It is not typical for an individual to be hired near the top of the range for a position as circumstances and location can vary in every hiring situation. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $71,706.08 to $119,510.13.
