Ivy Tech Bloomington is seeking an Associate Director of Retention to lead student retention initiatives and coordinate outreach to help students persist and complete their education. The role works with faculty, staff, and campus partners to connect students with resources and design strategies informed by data.

Responsibilities include developing retention plans, monitoring progress, and reporting results to leadership.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in related field required.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in higher education, student services, academic advising, or retention.
• Knowledge of retention, persistence, and student success practices in higher education.
• Experience with student data and reporting systems to support retention efforts.

Mansioni

• Coordinate and implement student retention initiatives and programming.
• Identify barriers to persistence and develop targeted interventions.
• Monitor student progress and report retention metrics to campus leadership.
• Provide outreach and referrals to connect students with on-campus resources.
• Maintain records of retention outreach, referrals, and outcomes.
• Collaborate with faculty, advisors, and campus partners to support diverse student populations.
• Perform retention outreach to at-risk students including veterans, first‑gen students, and online/part‑time students.
• Assist with communication strategies and follow-up to promote student engagement.
