Job summary

IKEA Gruppe in Houston is seeking a part-time warehouse associate to support order fulfillment across channels. You will ensure product availability, stock accuracy, and timely replenishment in a retail environment.

The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, night and weekend availability, and a forklift/equipment certification is preferred. Benefits and a team-focused atmosphere are offered.

Qualifications

  • 2 years of experience in high-volume warehouse or receiving/replenishment.
  • Physical demands: lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Certification in at least one power mobile equipment preferred (forklift, electric pallet jack).

Responsibilities

  • Receive inbound goods and ensure inventory accuracy at receiving.
  • Move product to final selling location (storage or floor).
  • Perform replenishment with visual merchandising guidance.
  • Pick and prepare customer orders within the agreed timeframe.
  • Handle goods (unloading, transporting, stocking in/out, etc.).
  • Operate scanner equipment and inventory management IT systems.
  • Certify powered equipment including forklifts and pallet jacks.

What you'll be doing day to day

Contributing to the fulfillment of customer orders in different sales channels in the retail store by ensuring an efficiently executed product availability and replenishment process.

  • Receiving inbound goods and ensures inventory accuracy at point of receiving.
  • Moving product to final selling location (in storage or on the floor in all areas).
  • Performing sales space replenishment with flexibility and according to visual merchandising guidance.
  • Pick and preparing customer orders within the agreed timeframe to secure an excellent customer experience.
  • Handling goods (unloading, transporting, replenishing, stocking in, stocking out, picking, loading).
  • Operating scanner equipment and inventory management tools including IT systems
  • Certifying all powered mobile equipment including forklifts and pallet jacks

JOB TYPE: Permanent - Part-Time (benefits eligible)

HOURS: 20-34 hrs/week (PT) — limited openings for each

SHIFT: Retail Environment; must be able to work nights & weekends.

Department Hours of Operations: 5am-10pm

The pay range for this role is $19.96 to $25.45

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Certification in at least one power mobile equipment (forklift, electric pallet jack, etc.) preferred

The starting rate/ salary for this position ranges from 19.96 USD to 25.45 USD and will be based on relevant work experience.
