Job summary

IKEA in Norfolk, VA is seeking a warehouse associate to support order fulfillment across store channels, ensuring product availability and accurate receiving processes.

The role involves receiving goods, stocking on the floor or storage areas, replenishing shelves, and picking customer orders to ensure fast, accurate service. Night and weekend shifts are required, with comprehensive benefits for eligible co-workers.

• Receiving inbound goods and ensuring inventory accuracy at point of receiving.
• Moving product to final selling location (storage or floor).
• Performing sales space replenishment per visual merchandising guidance.
• Picking and preparing customer orders within the agreed timeframe to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Handling goods (unloading, transporting, replenishing, stocking in/out, picking, loading).
• Operating scanner equipment and inventory management tools including IT systems.
• Certifying powered mobile equipment including forklifts and pallet jacks.

What you'll be doing day to day

Contributing to the fulfillment of customer orders in different sales channels in the retail store by ensuring an efficiently executed product availability and replenishment process.

• Receiving inbound goods and ensures inventory accuracy at point of receiving.
• Moving product to final selling location (in storage or on the floor in all areas).
• Performing sales space replenishment with flexibility and according to visual merchandising guidance.
• Pick and preparing customer orders within the agreed timeframe to secure an excellent customer experience.
• Handling goods (unloading, transporting, replenishing, stocking in, stocking out, picking, loading).
• Operating scanner equipment and inventory management tools including IT systems
• Certifying all powered mobile equipment including forklifts and pallet jacks

JOB TYPE: Permanent – Part time

HOURS: 34-40 hrs/week

SHIFT: Retail Environment, must be able to work nights & weekends.

The hourly pay range for this position is $19.96 - $28.20

Experience with using power equipment and driving Forklifts preferred
