Job summary

Verizon is hiring a full-time Retail Sales Associate to grow the customer base and drive sales in an in-store environment in Portland, OR. You’ll use technology knowledge and strong service to understand customer needs and deliver complete solutions.

Expect a base pay of $16–$21/hour with additional commissions that can push total earnings well beyond $65,000 annually. Verizon offers extensive benefits, training, and career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED completed.
• One or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through work experience and/or military experience.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays (schedule known four weeks in advance).
• Openness to pick up additional shifts to earn more income during peak periods.

Responsibilities

• Generate retail sales by using passion for technology and customer service to expand the Verizon network.
• Learn customers' needs by creating connections and asking the right questions.
• Position product insights and recommendations to provide a complete top-down sales solution.
• Close sales using strong communication to fulfill customer needs with simple tech solutions.
• Develop yourself through ongoing training and up-skill in merchandising and inventory functions.
• Grow the customer base by outbound calls and texts to current Verizon customers.
• Engage with the community at Verizon events to expand loyal customers.
