Job summary

Michaels is seeking a Store Associate in Columbus, OH to provide friendly customer service, help shoppers find items, and ensure a fast, accurate checkout experience. You will unload trucks, stock merchandise, and keep the store well-presented and in stock, while promoting rewards programs.

The role requires strong communication, teamwork, and adherence to SOPs; overtime and weekend availability may be required as part of a public retail environment.

Qualifications

• Retail and/or customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide them with solutions
• Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience; execute cash handling to standards
• Engage customers on the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and enroll them
• Educate customers on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey
• Assist with Omni channel processes, including BOPIS and Ship From Store
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POGs)
• Complete merchandise recovery and maintenance including go back process
• Perform Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties
• Support shrink and safety programs
• Adhere to SOPs and Company policies; interact respectfully; role model positive image
