Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–3 years of related retail experience.
• 1 year of management experience.
• Ability to communicate clearly and resolve conflicts.
• Experience with staff rotation and cross-training helpful.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers and team members.
• Staffing, selection and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Promotes succession planning by identifying development needs and promotion decisions.
• Documents and applies disciplinary actions and advises on discharge.
• Responsible for P&L, achieving sales and maintaining shrink for the department.
• Models exceptional, fast and friendly customer service.
• Communicates the Meijer Friendly Initiative in team meetings and conversations.
• Mentors and coaches the team to exceed customer service and sales goals.
• Ensures the team is trained and completes required training.
• Spends majority of time in-store communicating with customers and team members.
• Promotes a safe work environment.
• Reliable and consistent attendance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
