Meijer Inc. is seeking a store leader to plan, direct, and supervise day-to-day operations across departments. You will mentor staff, drive customer service, and ensure quick, efficient service while maintaining store standards. The role emphasizes staffing, training, and developing teams for future advancement.

You will manage P&L, achieve sales goals, and uphold a safe, welcoming store environment with strong emphasis on customer satisfaction and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in meat, bakery, produce and deli; also customer service and product flow experience is helpful.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clear direction to team members.
• Demonstrated ability to resolve conflicts and address root causes.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze financial and statistical information and use that information to make informed decisions; teach suggestive selling.
• Demonstrated ability to lead an organization that practices working safely at all times.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor team members at all levels, including hourly staff and team leaders.
• Successful completion of all required certifications.

Responsabilités

• Plan, direct and supervise team members in day-to-day store operations.
• Mentor and coach team members to meet customer service and sales goals.
• Implement strategies to improve customer service and store performance.
• Maintain store appearance and product presentation to Meijer standards.
• Staffing, selection and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Promote succession planning and development paths for team members.
• Document and apply disciplinary actions and advise on discharge decisions.
• Manage P&L, achieve sales targets and control shrink for the department.
• Model exceptional, fast and friendly customer service.
• Communicate the Meijer Friendly Initiative in team meetings and conversations.
• Mentor team members to exceed customer service and sales goals and maintain area to standards.
• Ensure staff training is completed and ongoing.
• Spend time in-store engaging with customers and team members to ensure service quality.
• Promote a safe work environment.
• Maintain reliable and consistent attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
