Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a store operations leader to supervise day-to-day activities across departments. You will mentor team members, drive customer service, and ensure store standards during peak hours.

Your role includes staffing, training, and implementing company initiatives to sustain growth and efficiency. The position requires prior retail management experience, strong communication, and the ability to coach teams toward sales goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent required.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in store areas such as meat, bakery, produce and deli; customer service and product flow experience is helpful.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clear directions and resolve conflicts.
• Ability to analyze sales data and drive performance.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers and team members.
• Staffing, selection and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Promote career development and succession planning for team members and participate in promotions decisions.
• Document and apply disciplinary actions and consider discharge when needed.
• Responsible for P&L, achieving sales and maintaining shrink for the department.
• Model exceptional, fast and friendly customer service.
