Job summary

Meijer is seeking a store operations leader in Michigan to oversee staffing, hiring and development, while driving sales and keeping shrink low. You will mentor team members, enforce company standards and coach staff to deliver exceptional customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.

You will spend time on the floor directing crew, managing rotations, training, and ensuring a safe, welcoming store atmosphere that aligns with Meijer’s Friendly Initiative and brand values.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent.
• 2–3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in store areas like meat, bakery, produce and deli.
• Clear and precise direction to team members.
• Ability to analyze financial and statistical information to inform decisions.

Responsibilities

• Staffing, selection and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Promote career paths and development through succession planning.
• Disciplinary actions and recommendations concerning discharge.
• Responsible for P&L, sales and shrink control.
• Mentor and coach team members to meet service and sales goals.
• Ensure training and safety standards are followed across the area.
