Job summary

Elder's ACE Hardware is seeking a team member for its Chattanooga/Ooltewah area store. You will unload trucks, stock merchandise, and maintain department organization. The role requires friendly customer service and a willingness to learn all areas of the store.

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is important. Bilingual Spanish skills are strongly preferred to assist a diverse customer base.

Qualifications

• 6 months to 1 year of retail experience, hardware experience preferred.
• Professional communication with customers and team members.
• Prompt, friendly and attentive customer service.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Willing to learn all areas of the store and help train others.
• Knowledge of various departments is strongly desired.
• Regular and punctual attendance required.
• Flexible availability including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Bilingual Spanish skills strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Help unload incoming trucks and stock merchandise.
• Maintain assigned department, keep it clean and stocked.
• Execute daily goals and move with the Ace Pace.
• Remove promotional bin tags from displays/price tags as required.
• Restock merchandise displays, watch end caps and side wings.
• Handle special orders for non-stock items.
• Never tell a customer no without checking with a manager.
• Watch for shoplifters and act per Elder's policy.
• Respond to radio requests.
• Other duties as assigned.
