Job summary

Dollar Tree in Madison Heights, Virginia is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help with store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily store activities and support the Store Manager in guiding Associates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read and interpret directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform repetitive movements.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service and organizational skills.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize, transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Process directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines and lead the team.
• Supervise, train, and develop store associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain store cleanliness, bathrooms, floors, and overall neatness.
• Other duties as assigned.
